Konichiwa! (which also means hello in Japanese.) Being a fan of the land of the rising sun, Japan, I couldn’t resist but to make it my ideal honeymoon destination despite being there for so many times!
Japan is filled with history, traditions, and culture, I decided to visit Tokyo Disneyland located in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, in Japan because I am a huge fan of Disney. This being my 5th time visiting Japan, I would highlight that there’s always something new to see in Japan, especially when you plan your visit during different seasons. I decided to visit at the end of Winter welcoming early spring season and it has just the right sweater weather to enjoy my childhood dream of visiting Disneyland!
I love countries that offer four seasons and I did not expect to see Japan be just as beautiful as summer during this period of time! Being conveniently located near their public transportation services, it was great to be able to get out of Disneyland for a while when I needed a break and get back into Disneyland again just in time for the fireworks! Did you know you can re-enter after exiting the theme park as long as it’s within the same day?
Getting there by Japan Railway: Get off at Maihama Station. Tokyo Disneyland is located at Maihama Station on the JR (Japan Railway) which is about 15 minutes by train from Tokyo Station. Alternatively, there are Shuttle bus services from various locations to Tokyo Disneyland that are also available as well.
The theme park opens from 8am to 10pm, and I would personally suggest you make your way there early to get your hands on a FASTPASS to make the best out of the time you have. The FASTPASS is Tokyo Disney’s ride and show reservation system, where it gives you access to rides at a specific time, without the need of you to line up in a long line! In Tokyo Disneyland, there are 8 attractions that offer the FASTPASS service, so be sure to plan your time ahead while you’re there to enjoy all the rides within the same day. The FASTPASS machines are usually located near the main entrance to the rides, so keep your eyes open!
If you are looking for a proper meal to enjoy, you can always head out via Japan Railway and dine a proper meal then come back. During my visit, I decided to head out to Akihabara and found myself dining at Curry House CoCo Ichibanya, located just 5 minutes away from Akihabara station. They are particularly famous for their Japanese curry dishes, and to Muslim friends traveling, they are certified to be Halal. What I enjoyed about my meal here is that they let you choose your level of spiciness to cater to different taste buds. A definite must- try if you’re a fan of curry!
While you’re there, are consider visiting Tokyo Disneysea as well since the theme parks offer different experiences and its located just right next to Tokyo Disneyland (walking distance!). Just writing about it makes me miss Japan already. I can’t wait to plan my next trip to Japan again soon!
